From Trident Fly Fishing
The Lamson Guru Fly Rod is for the angler who would rather own one rod that covers the season than a rack of specialists. Lamson builds the Guru on a medium to medium-fast blank that loads early enough to give you feedback on a short cast then keeps enough backbone deeper in the taper to turn over a weighted nymph rig or push a line through a breeze. Every model is 9 feet and four pieces in 4 5 6 7 and 8 weight so the same casting stroke carries from a small creek up through big western water. Lamson also puts the Guru name on a reel series so it is worth being clear that this listing is the four piece rod.
