What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying: "I grab this vest when I just need a simple, warm layer that works with everything. The fleece is really soft and lighter than a full jacket, but still warm enough for shoulder seasons. The elastic arm holes keep drafts out, and the drawcord hem helps trap heat when it gets breezy. It’s a reliable everyday layer." We pull on the L. L. Bean Mountain Classic Regular Fleece Vest when we want easy warmth and timeless outdoor style in a versatile, three-season layer. Inspired by heritage designs and updated with a slightly fitted silhouette, it offers a clean, modern look that layers naturally over lightweight shirts or flannels.
