An inert powder-free borosilicate glass filter retains most of the remaining moisture in the bottle making recovery of the sample the major benefit of these devices. Cryogenic vacuum bottles are also much easier to recycle because of their non-porous nature and because the drying agent is entrapped in the filter there is no concern regarding the safety of the sample. Bottles are made of special glass with a thicker stem to collect more of the sample and the lowest possible amount of residual heat.
