The Originator and leader of Spinner-Fly Combinations since 1961, Joe's Flies exclusive Short-Striker "Classics" Size #8 (1/24oz) is their most popular and most productive lure in the "ultra-light" class.Originally developed to catch the "short striking" native trout in West Virginia streams, however, Short-Striker Classics are equally at home hooking Smallmouth, Crappie and Bream. The secret of the Short Striker is 3 Fold. First off, the enticing, mirror polished spinnerblade creates a flash which grabs the trouts attention. The hand tied fly, carefully chosen to "match the hatch" represents a favorite food source and causes an instinctive strike.
