What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying: "I mix these by route: 2. 1 XC rear for speed, 2. 3 or 2. 4 on rough trails for more volume. Sideskin saves sidewalls, tubeless setup is painless, and traction stays predictable when it gets loose."One tread, three ways to ride it. The Taipan Sideskin TLR lineup covers fast XC laps and rowdy trail days with a shared recipe: open, chevron-inspired blocks that bite under braking, shed mud fast, and keep rolling speed high. The 29x2. 1 XC trim uses a durable mono-compound on a 66 TPI carcass for efficient training. Step up to the 29x2. 3 or 29x2.
