From Appalachian Outfitters
The Kvillinge Splitting Axe is a powerful well-balanced tool designed for splitting medium to large logs. Its wedge-shaped weighted head drives deep into wood while the curved edge reduces bounce and helps turn logs without sticking. Despite its substantial weight the axe feels controlled and responsive in hand. A slightly curved hickory handle provides excellent balance strength and swing control. Hand-forged from high-quality steel at Hults Bruk this axe is inspired by classic Swedish splitting designs and built to last a lifetime with proper care. The head weighs 4.2 lb and is paired with a 32" handle for optimal reach and leverage.
