From Trident Fly Fishing
The Hardy Firecrest Fly Rod is for the days the forecast told you to stay home. Wind on the water a weighted streamer or an indicator rig on the end and a fish that will not come to a delicate presentation anyway. The Firecrest is a fast action series optimised for aggressive tapers and heavy fly lines rated half to a full size or more over standard with a powerful butt section that handles sink tips and large fish without folding.
