The Hardy Averon Euro Fly Reel is built around a problem most trout reels never have to solve: a euro nymphing rod is 10 to 12 feet long rated 2 to 4 weight and you hold it out at arm&';s length for most of the day. All that length sits in front of your hand so a featherweight reel leaves the rig tip heavy and your wrist doing the work of holding it level. Hardy&';s answer is a reel you can add mass to on purpose.
