From Trident Fly Fishing
The Gym Sock is a modern streamer pattern engineered to provide a substantial baitfish profile without the heavy water absorption associated with natural materials. Designed using specific synthetic fibers this fly creates a large silhouette that pushes water effectively to trigger the lateral lines of predatory fish yet it collapses instantly when lifted from the surface. This unique construction allows anglers to cast a large fly with lighter rods making it a versatile choice for targeting large trout bass and other aggressive species in both moving and still water.
