What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I took the G1+ SA on a glacier traverse in the North Cascades and the slightly curved shaft made every self-arrest feel controlled and deliberate rather than frantic. The ergonomic head shape is a small thing until you have been walking for six hours and your hand needs somewhere comfortable to rest. This is a straightforward, confidence-inspiring tool for anyone moving through serious mountain terrain."Glacier travel and alpine mountaineering ask a lot of your ice axe, and the Grivel G1+ SA Ice Axe is the kind of tool that answers without hesitation.
