What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"The Grivel Axe Guard is one of those additions to the kit that costs almost nothing and solves a real problem. A bare ice axe head will work its way through pack fabric and gear bags faster than you expect, and having a dedicated cover for the blade and adze means I stop worrying about what my axe is doing to everything around it the moment it goes into the pack."An unprotected ice axe head is one of the more reliably destructive things you can put near a pack, a rope bag, or anything else you care about.
