Gransfors Bruk Handle for Long & Large Splitting Axe/Splitting Maul

From Appalachian Outfitters

The handle has an ergonomic design that gives a firm and comfortable grip. The majority of the handles are made of the wood type Hickory which is strong and flexible. Some individual models are from copper beech. The shafts are impregnated with warm linseed oil and beeswax which increases the quality of the shafts. Weight: 0.84 kg Dimensions: L - B - H 80 - 2.7 - 4.6 cm Both our splitting axes and the Outdoor Axe feature a metal guard to protect the handle. Extra handles for these axes include a guard fastened to the handle. Hafting an axe with a new handle with a metal guard requires a little more effort than a normal wooden handle.
