The Gransfors Bruk diamond sharpening file is a straight diamond file with a coarse side and a finer side and features a small wooden handle. The handle is slightly wider near the file blade to give a good grip. The diamond file is normally used with water but can also be used dry. The diamond handheld blade sharpener file is 230-grit on the coarser side and 400-grit on the finer side. Gransfors Bruk offers three different sharpening products that are all relatively similar to each other: Ceramic Sharpening Stone Diamond File and Steel File. The main difference between these products is the material but both the grit size and shape of the products differ as well.
