Giro Imperial II Shoe Iconic performance The Giro Imperial II Shoe introduces big upgrades to the already-popular original Imperial, with a new outsole and upper, while retaining the BOA(R) closure riders know and love. The Imperial features a sleek design with a unique Synchwire knitted TPU monofilament mesh upper, effectively reducing weight, while increasing airflow and comfort. The upper is even reinforced with a thermally bonded TPU skin for increased durability. The unidirectional forged carbon plate in the midsole was originally developed for motorsports and results in a 20Nm stiffer design than the previous Imperial for maximum power transfer.
