From Trident Fly Fishing
The Gaelforce Equalizer 15ft Altitude Extreme Distance Spey Rod is not a salmon rod that happens to cast a long way. It is a distance rod first and Gaelforce sells it out of a separate catalog category from its fishing rods: Equalizer Extreme Distance the range James Chalmers built for maximum distance casting on powerful 15 16 and 18 foot rods either wading deep or casting from a platform. There is a dividing line inside that category worth understanding before you buy. Gaelforce describes its two general purpose Extreme Distance rods the 15ft 12# and the 18ft 10/11 as placing no restriction on which type of line they are suited to. It says the opposite about this one.
