From Backcountry
Fusing the old with the new, the Filson Tin Cloth Primaloft Vest lets us enjoy old-world quality and new-world technology in the same piece of clothing. For more than a century, Filson has used tin cloth—waxed cotton canvas—for a durable, weather-resistant layer, and they've now paired it with PrimaLoft Gold Insulation, the premium synthetic insulation on the market. PrimaLoft offers almost as much warmth for the weight as premium down, but unlike down, it insulates when wet, making it the insulation of choice for those of us who sweat or live in wet climates. That combination of materials adds up to an all-weather insulating layer with Filson's rugged looks.
