What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I belayed a partner on an ice pitch in single digit temps, and the belay snap made it easy to stay clipped in and warm at the same time. The inside pocket kept my phone from dying in the cold, which mattered since we were tracking our approach on it."Minnesota winters don't leave much room for gear that only sort of works, and the IronRange 80 Belay Jacket from Escape Climbing was built by people who spend their season proving that point. We snap in at the base of an ice pillar, hood pulled up over a helmet, and let 80 grams of high loft insulation do the job of keeping heat in in the exact conditions this jacket was designed around.
