What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I spent an entire afternoon belaying at a crag where the sun never hit our wall, and this parka was the only reason I didn't call it early. My hands were the only cold part of me by the end of the day."Belaying is supposed to be the easy part of a climbing day, right up until a shaded crag turns a simple afternoon into an exercise in staying warm enough to keep giving good feedback. The IronRange 140 Belay Parka from Escape Climbing exists because standing around in the cold shouldn't be the reason a session ends early. It's the heaviest insulated option in the lineup, built specifically to fix the problem of a belayer who's colder than the climber.
