The horizontally oriented rubber ball is connected with a locking screw so you can remove the ball when you are not using it. The base fits the control clamps on your motorcycle with using included M6x55mm stainless steel screws (for metric bikes) or 1/4in-20x2in stainless steel screws (for Harley-Davidson models). Confirmed fit chart for control clamp mounting: Buell All models: fits right side only Ducati Super Sport 750 '99-'02: Fits left side only use top ball location facing rear Super Sport 900 '99-'02: Fits left side only use top ball location facing rear ST2 '98-'02: Long Arm required for some applications. Recommend installing with arm directed to inside behind windshield.
