From Outdoor Gear Exchange
The Vertex Axe is thoughtfully designed to be efficient on varying verticalities to be the only ice axe you need for the entire mountain. The shaft geometry is straight enough to be efficient on less steep ground and curved enough to have precision while swinging over ices bulges.
