What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying: "The Apex has been my go-to for technical mixed and alpine routes. It climbs steep ice beautifully but is still versatile enough for lower-angle snow. I especially love the dual hand rests for leashless control and the option to swap picks depending on the day’s objective." Built for winter climbers pushing into technical terrain, the DMM Apex Ice Tool delivers a balance of aggressive performance and terrain versatility. Whether we’re swinging into steep waterfall ice or daggering up alpine faces, the Apex feels stable, confident, and efficient in hand.
