Continental Gatorskin 27" Wire Tire Miles Without the Drama Riders on older road bikes with 27" wheels (630 ISO) often struggle to find a tire that pairs solid puncture protection with dependable rolling performance. The Gatorskin is exactly that tire. A carbon-black tread compound puts durability first without turning the ride harsh, and two layers of flat protection work together to stop glass, wire, and road debris before they reach the tube. The wire bead keeps the price honest, and wear indicators built into the tread let you know exactly when it's time to swap. If you're commuting, training, or just putting serious miles on a classic road bike, this is a tire you can mount and forget.
