What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"I was honestly surprised by how warm this feels for the weight. The solar-capture tech adds noticeable heat on clear winter days, and the 700-fill down lofts beautifully after being stuffed. The outer fabric sheds slush and light snow well, making it a solid cold-weather hiking piece."We set out into icy mornings and wind-cut ridgelines with the Arctic Crest Down Hooded Jacket giving us warmth that feels steady and reassuring. As the light hits the snowfields, Columbia’s Omni-Heat Arctic system pulls in solar energy to boost the insulation, helping us stay comfortable even when the air is biting and the temperature refuses to rise.
