From Sportsman's Guide
The Clam Spooler Elite Reel has been a favorite among ice anglers for years thanks to its smooth performance and superior line control. Designed in a true spooler style, this reel dramatically reduces line memory and coiling, allowing for cleaner drops, less lure spin, and increased sensitivity-especially when targeting light-biting, finicky fish. What sets the Spooler Elite apart is its efficient 2.3:1 gear ratio, which delivers the perfect balance of control and speed while still allowing anglers to strip line by hand for instant hooksets. A shallow spool design, smooth dial drag system, and precision bearing setup ensure consistent performance in cold conditions.
