What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying: "This is my go-to midlayer for high-output alpine missions. It’s warm where I need it—like in the chest and hood—but breathes incredibly well, thanks to the merino blend panels. I’ve worn it on ski tours, early trail runs, and chilly climbs. It moves with me and never feels bulky." For those chilly alpine starts and fast-paced ascents, we count on the Black Diamond First Light Hybrid Hooded Jacket to keep us warm without slowing us down. Designed to breathe, insulate, and move with us from dawn patrol to summit push, this midlayer has the versatility to adapt to a wide range of conditions.
