The Benchmade Shootout is a lightweight double-action out-the-front automatic knife designed for practical everyday carry, tactical use and situations where quick one-handed operation is important. This original 5370FE configuration combines a black CF-Elite handle with a 3.51-inch plain-edge tanto blade made from CPM-CruWear tool steel. The blade is hardened to 63-65 HRC and protected by a low-glare Flat Earth PVD finish. Its tanto profile provides a reinforced point and a long primary cutting edge suitable for controlled utility work, while the double-action mechanism extends and retracts the blade through the front of the handle using the spine-mounted thumb slide.
