From Backcountry

We built the Pines Microgrid Ultra-Lt Baselayer Balaclava Top's hood to manage hair without giving up coverage, then gave the G2's face panel a boost with UPF 50+ Tahoe fabric. The new sun protection doesn't cost us the breathability or wicking already built into the top. What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:"Two completely different fabrics share this hood, and neither one gets in the other's way. The Tahoe panel blocks sun without holding onto heat, right up against grid fabric doing its own job underneath."
