The Altra Lone Peak 9 GTX is the wet-weather version of the trail shoe that thru-hikers and long-run regulars already know, built for the days when the trail is soaked before the run even starts. The GORE-TEX Invisible Fit upper bonds the membrane directly to the 85% rPET upper material, keeping the fit close and the weight penalty to just 0. 7 ounces over the standard Lone Peak 9. On creek crossings and shoulder-season routes where the trail stays wet for miles, the EGO midsole and MaxTrac outsole work together to keep the foot stable and the stride natural.
