The AFW Surfstrand Stainless Steel 1x7 Wire Leader is the go-to wire leader for serious offshore and inshore anglers. Built from corrosion-resistant spring temper stainless steel with a camo brown finish that disappears underwater Surfstrand gives you the bite protection you need without spooking fish or sacrificing lure action. Why Surfstrand Outperforms the Competition Most wire leaders still use old-style 1x3 construction - three strands twisted together. AFW&';s 1x7 construction uses seven strands delivering higher break strength superior kink resistance and a more natural flexible action that lets your lure move the way it&';s supposed to.
