A 2-layer GORE-TEX membrane built from pores 20,000 times smaller than a water droplet keeps rain and wet snow out completely, while the wide leg, adjustable high waist, and elastic cuffs deliver the roomiest fit in 686's lineup. Articulated seams at the knees and other high-mobility points let the baggy silhouette still move freely instead of bunching up mid-turn. Air-Flo™ inner leg vents dump heat on a warm lap, and the Pant Jacket Connect™ system locks the waist to a matching jacket to keep snow out on deep days.
